Shunyata CX cables all use CDA-101 copper, the highest quality copper available. Shunyata chose this high-grade copper because it has fewer impurities and is a superior electrical conductor. CDA-101 is very expensive and a large amount of it is required to build Shunyata CX cables. 140 individual CDA-101 conductors are wound into Shunyata's revolutionary and patented counter-rotating Helix geometry, which cancels noise and external interference, simultaneously improving current flow. Shunyata uses custom-made high-copper content brass AC plugs for high durability and excellent conductivity.
Shunyata CX cables are Cryogenically treated, a process which provides noticeable, substantial and permanent beneficial effects. Over a period of 72Hrs, Shunyata uses liquid nitrogen to slowly lower the temperature inside the chamber to a chilly -320 Fahrenheit, then returns the item to room temperature.
