Product Description
Back in the 60's and 70's there were three tuners released that are now considered the "Holy Grail of Tuners". The McIntosh MR78, the Sequerra Model No 1, and the Marantz 10B.
It's rumored this is the tuner that actually put Marantz out of business, or at least started the decline for Marantz back when it was a US company based out of Long Island City, New York.
As an industry leader, Marantz embraced this new technology and began the development of a "cost is no object" FM Stereo tuner to accompany their expanding lineup of exceptional hifi gear. The 10B, which has been largely credited to famed speaker designer, Dick Sequerra, under the tutelage of Saul Marantz himself, was a real statement piece for the company.
