| The DUO PRIMO, award winning top model of the
DUO range, opened the eyes of the Avantgarde Acoustic engineers: the
DUO OMEGA mid-high horn satellites simply deserve a horn loaded bass
unit! This idea of a ‘full range horn system’ finally led
to the DUO MEZZO as a ‘little sister’ of the PRIMO.
Almost
identical with the PRIMO in technical details, the MEZZO’s styling
forms a bridge to the rack-mount look and appearance of the classical
DUO range of speakers, while still keeping its independent character
as a fully hornloaded speaker.
The MEZZO’s performance, especially
in reproducing the deep bass range, makes it evident: such easiness
and power is - and will always be – an exclusive domain of big
full range horn systems.
The DUO MEZZO models are available with the
same color and veneer options as the current PRIMO speakers.
