Hydra
Model-6 incorporates all of the innovative design
and technical elements -- save Shunyata’s FeSi-1000 compounds
-- that have earned the Hydra 8 its unprecedented array of
critical awards and professional endorsements. Shunyata’s
six cryogenically treated Venom silver-plated outlets are connected
to the Hydra 6’s massive solid silver buss system, eliminating
all point-to-point wiring.
The Hydra Model-6 Trident Defense System provides
noise-reduction with Shunyata’s best five-element Venom
filter array, isolating and protecting each duplex outlet as
independent power-sources. Statement-making surge and spike protection
is passively implemented and totals a line-popping 60,000-amps
of peak current protection. Rounding out the Hydra six package
is enormous over-current protection in the form of Carling’s
best hydraulic electromagnetic breaker. Common to all Hydra models,
is the Model-6’s 20-amp inlet connector, allowing each
system and budget to dictate which of the five PowerSnakes Pacesetter
power cords will be ideal in a given application.
Applications
The Hydra Model-6 delivers virtually unlimited user flexibility
by combining high-current capability with Shunyata’s
passive form of noise reduction and system protection. Because
the three silver-plated duplex outlets are isolated with their
own buss structure and filtered, they can be interchangeably
utilized for either high-current electronics or noise-sensitive
digital equipment, or both.
