Viper CX power cord represents the second of five Statements in the
CX Series power cord designs. Of all the CX power cords, the Viper
was the first to be thoroughly tested in some of the industry’s
finest systems. In literally every application, some under blind
conditions, the Viper CX proved superior to any product of its kind,
including those costing many thousands of dollars. More than any
previous or current design, the SideWinder and Viper CX represent
the greatest promise because they offer performance beyond any conventional
power cord ever made. Strong words? Shunyata’s entire history
of success has been built around design prowess and credibility.

Every facet
of the Viper CX’s design has been optimized during years of
intensive research and development. The Viper CX uses a massive 200
conductor array, pulled from solid billets of CDA 101 copper and
wound into a dual counter rotating Helix geometry. This forms a massive
10 gauge conductor compliment capable of powering even the most demanding
systems. Terminations are Shunyata’s own, optimized SR-ZP AC
and IEC connectors. Finally, the Viper CX undergoes Shunyata’s
exclusive Alpha Cryogenic conductor treatment processes before being
finished and ready for application!
Obviously, even the most expensive
power-line products do not have the level of customization and attention
paid to the craftsmanship of the CX Series. The performance of the
SideWinder and Viper CX define Shunyata Research’s goal of
creating products that deliver on the promise of reference caliber
performance at sane prices.
APPLICATIONS
The Viper CX’s additional
conductor mass and braid complexity allow increased flexibility when
applied in recording, film, media and home entertainment systems.
The Viper CX can perform the function of an ideal reference source
component power cord in any system, or it can perform as a high-current
amplifier power cord in another. Within Shunyata’s power-system
approach, the Viper CX is a perfect high-current compliment to the
SideWinder CX, with the SideWinder CX designated for line and source
components and the Viper CX for amplification, powered speakers,
subs, etc. |
