Though Triplanar was not officially exhibiting at the show, their famous (and extremely cool-looking) tonearm was used in a number of demos.

Mounted on an Amazon turntable.

TW Acustic as usual, had a strong presence at the Munich show. In their own room, they showcased a 3 motor, 2 arm version of the Raven AC. Interestingly, the arms used (same as last year) were from Ortofon and not some other more exotic or expensive brand. Does that say something about the quality of the Ortofon arms that we do not know about?

They also introduced a brand new pure tube phono stage of their own design. It boasts the ability to play low output MC cartridges WITHOUT the need for any MC step-up transformers! I don’t know how Thomas Woschnick does it, but this was one quiet phono stage! With my ears next to a pair of 100+ db horn speakers, Thomas cranked up the volume control and I still could not hear any tube hiss at all! Based on what I heard during the short time that I was there, I can safely say this is one killer tube phono stage to look out for.
